Les Flamants Roses
(France) | Compagnie Remue Menage
Inspired by the grace of the mating rituals of the flamingos, the French company Cie Remue Menage created a carnival-like show-parade. Pyrotechnist-dancers and djembe musicians, dressed up as Berbers, accompany the strange giant-birds that dance and wonderfully light up the night. A flying machine guides the musical caravan that moves slowly on the streets of the city and it uses dance, music, and acrobatics to present the story of the migration of the flamingo birds to the land of deserts and of the nomad tribes. Cie Remue Menage is well-known around the world for its shows focused on visual impact, shows which create oneiric universes by means of play of lights, circus elements, dance, and music.
